Beautiful and haunting at a distance, sublimely clever and deeply rewarding up close.
To say this album exists partly within the triangle of Joni Mitchell (warm folk), Radiohead (an inventive and abstract window into another universe) and her sister Merrill (their voices!) is both unfair and astounding—how that fusion is even possible is beyond me, but I am so damn glad this album exists!
